Learn more about how medication works, how to support patients on medication and how to avoid and monitor for drug interactions.
One Date for Each Session Must Be Attended - Four 3 Hour Sessions In Total. During the course we look at how medication moves through the body and how they exert an effect. We explore how nutrition and supplement protocols can affect how the drug works with the client and how to monitor for expected and unexpected impacts on the medication. We look at which drugs might be a greater cause of concern and how supplementation can be introduced safely. Many drugs deplete the body of key nutrients and this can be a major cause of adverse medication events and this is discussed in detail. We then move on to discuss in detail how the key classes of medication exert their effects and how we can support clients taking those medications and when it is appropriate to support the client with a view to reducing medication whilst working with their medical practitioner. We conclude the course examining techniques to improve collaboration with GPs and cement the learning with a look at some client case studies to put the learning into practice. Ongoing support is available in the three months following the course to help the practitioner build confidence and practice safely.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the course and learned a great deal. Debbie goes at a very relaxed yet constant pace which allows for the vast amount of information and pearls of wisdom to be absorbed! She encourages questions and everything is extremely well organised and explained. Her manner is great and very friendly and this encourages everyone to feel relaxed and to participate to gain maximum benefit. The course structure is very flexible and is great value for money. Brilliant course Debbie thank you!!

I don't think I can talk highly enough of Debbie, she really is such a knowledgeable practitioner and really has the best of both worlds with her impressive background as a pharmacist and an amazing knowledge of pharmaceuticals, as well as, her vast understanding of nutrition. These in combination, really make her unique and if there is anyone that I would trust to reach out for advice knowing it would be valid and appropriate it would be Debbie. Debbie has really been such a great support for me (and I know for so many other new and old practitioners) when working with clients on a range of medication. I would highly recommend anyone who is interested in taking either her courses or looking for 1-2-1 advice to reach out to Debbie.
